Happy Father's Day

Australian celebrates Father's Day on first weekend of September. Unlike us in KL, they move forward Father’s Day celebration from July to September due to many events that happens in the early year in Australia. Rina and Jazz have made simple cards for Pat as a Father’s Day gift and Pat decided to take us to King’s Park.

So, kitorang pun hop on the ferry at 12.00 noon and took the bus from the city to King’s Park. It was a lovely spring and sunny day. We walked around the park and decided to stop at the botanic garden. The wildflowers bloom wonderfully at the park. There are Large Fruited-Mallee, Plumed Featherflower, Ashby’s Banksia, well, just to name a few.

Kalau Malaysia ada Bunga Raya or Hibiscus as a symbol for the country, Australia pun ada bunga yang melambangkan negaranya iaitu Mangle Kangaroo Paw flowers taking the name from the leaves of the plants which look like kangaroo paw.

In conjunction of the King’s Park Festival, they are group of performers entertains the crowds at the water fountain area. Disebabkan kitorang sampai lewat, so we missed the morning group performers. Around 2pm there are colourful dress band performing South American beats marching from the fountain area to the War Monuments. We follow them like rats followed the Pied Piper. The performance consider ok jerlah sebab sepanjang kitorang ikut diorang tu, beats yang dimainkan sama jer. Cuma yang syok tengok diorangnyer colourful dress and the design jerlah tapi Malaysia nyer flower festival lagi gempak beb!!!!!. Dah ambik gambar diorang buat persembahan, we went home sebab dah terasa sejuk kat atas bukit tu. Furthermore, it’s Pat’s turn to cook tonight for buka puasa.
